Each NMEA 2000 Cable Contains Five Conductors Within A Single Shielded Jacket: Power, Ground, Two Data Wires, And A Drain Wire. The Drain Wire Is Bonded To The Cable Shield To Help Protect Signal Integrity By Reducing Susceptibility To Radio Frequency Interference And Minimizing Emissions Within The Network.
